Who are we? Founded in 1951 by a handful of friends, MGNCC now has members across all age groups, varied backgrounds and skill levels, from advanced to novice.
What happens in the MGNCC? Through the years our work has morphed (as photography has) to a Digital format. Color, black & white, creative photos and digital shows with sound, can cover subjects as challenging as the mind can imagine. In addition to workshops, lectures, travel shows and presentations, MGNCC provides members a platform to improve their skills. Constructive criticism is offered via monthly critiques and friendly competitions judged by qualified experts. Our members are always ready to offer one on one aassisance when needed. We group our members into levels so each level  competes within their level. Recognition is celebrated at club year end.
When does MGNCC meet? Meeting are the 2nd & 4th Mondays 7:00 PM (September thru May). In addition, members can join in field trips throughout the year to places of interest in the New York area. These trips provide an opportunity to experiment with different lenses and techniques, and to capture different locations and subject matter.
Where does MGNCC meet? Meetings: Due to covid our meetings are currently held by ZOOM. Meeting are open to all. There is a small once a year 'Judging/Critiqueing fee' for members that send photos for competition and critiqueing, that allays the cost of procuring outside qualified experts.
We hope in the future that we may return to in-person meeting at the Manhasset Library.
