Phyllis Goodfriend is a fine art photographer specializing in landscapes, cityscapes, and abstracts. A selection of her photos from South Africa has been installed in the lobby of 1010 Northern Boulevard, in Great Neck, and will be on permanent display there.

She has had solo exhibits at the Port Washington Library, The African-American Museum, the Great Neck and Shelter Rock Libraries, and the Universalist Unitarian Church at Shelter Rock. Her work was accepted in the LONG ISLAND BIENNIALS at the Heckscher Museum in 2012 and 2014(special award for photography 2012).

The book Namaqualand and Namiibia; A Photographic Adventure was published in 2009.

Palouse! , a compilation of work from two trips to that region, was published in 2011.

Phyllis is a member of the Long Island Center of Photography (Board of Directors, Membership Chair), The Manhasset - Great Neck Camera Club (Board of Directors), and the Photo Artists’ Network (founding member).
